Greenberg, is a well known and well regarded trial lawyer who concentrates his practice in criminal defense and personal injury law. He is frequently involved in high profile criminal cases involving homicide, hate and bias crimes as well as alcohol related charges. As a Criminal Defense Attorney, Mr. Greenberg has significant experience in Criminal Jury trials, as Lead Counsel in over hundreds of felony trials, including over 50 homicide related trials. He has experienced success both at the pre-trial level as well as the trial level and has helped hundreds of clients during his decades of practice. Here are some examples of press. September 18, 2007 the New York Post reported that all charges against two former New York Racing Association officials indicted in the so-called "fat jockeys" scandal were dismissed by Saratoga County Judge Jerry Scarano in the middle of the trial. The New York Times, Sunday, January 30, 1994, attributed the acquittal of the Defendant in the Maze Murder Case to "... adroit moves by the Defense Lawyer, Todd D. Greenberg." Federal Court Judge Peter K. Leisure, Southern District of New York, called Mr. Greenberg's closing argument in USA v. Valdez-90-CR-890-4, "... a high caliber summation by an extremely capable lawyer". In a highly publicized murder trial, Newsday reported that "...in a nonjury trial, attorney Todd Greenberg persuaded [the judge] that [the Defendant's] actions fit the legal definition of extreme emotional disturbance" (Newsday, Sept 9, 2003). A New York City Police Officer, charged with Manslaughter for Driving Drunk while off-duty and fatally injuring a motorcyclist in Brooklyn, walked out of a Brooklyn courtroom a free man yesterday. He faced up to seven years behind bars if convicted. Defense Attorney Todd Greenberg mounted a successful three-pronged defense in obtaining the acquittal. Assistant District Attorney Maureen McCormick, her face flushed, seemed shocked by the not-guilty verdict. Mr. Greenberg is a 1977 graduate of Hofstra Law School, is a member of the Queens County Criminal Courts Bar Association, The Queens County Bar Association and The New York State Bar Association. Prior to entering private practice in 1980, Mr. Greenberg was an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County, where he was assigned to prosecute the most serious criminal offenses. In 1983, together with Partner Dominic L. Addabbo, Mr. Greenberg established the firm of Addabbo & Greenberg, where, in addition to continuing his criminal practice, he has developed an expertise in Civil Litigation involving such matters as Personal Injury, Products Liability and General Business Litigation. Dominic L. Addabbo, Esq. dominic@queenslaw.com ![]() Dominic L. Addabbo, Esq. Dominic L. Addabbo, known as "Buddy" to family and friends, was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Archbishop Molloy High School, St. John's University College of Liberal Arts, and later St. John's University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in June, 1976. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in February 1977, the Florida State Bar in May, 1978, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in December, 1978. He is the oldest son of the late U.S. Congressman Joseph P. Addabbo, and served as Assistant District Attorney of Queens County from 1977 until 1981, achieving the position of Bureau Chief of the Criminal Court Bureau. In 1981 he became Counsel to the Queens Borough President, a post he held until 1983, when together with General Partner Todd D. Greenberg, he established the firm known as Addabbo & Greenberg. Since that time, he has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and seminars, and has appeared as a featured panelist on cable television for the State of New York Mortgage Agency, and as a legal commentator for WCBS News Radio. Mr. Addabbo is also the recipient of several awards and citations of honor for his work as an attorney and community leader, and is listed in Marquis Who's Who Internationally, Marquis Who's Who in American Law and Strathmore's Who's Who, demonstrating both his leadership and achievements in the legal profession. Mr. Addabbo resides in Queens County with wife and three children. Jill C. Stone ![]() Jill C. Stone Jill C. Stone specializes in Family and Matrimonial Law, and is "Of Counsel" to Addabbo & Greenberg. Ms. Stone, a graduate of the inaugural class of The City University of New York Law School at Queens College, a law school that focuses on practicing law in the service of human needs, remains sensitive to all the emotional and psychological issues that develop in Family & Matrimonial Cases. Ms. Stone is presently a member of the Law Guardian Panel in Nassau County where she represents the rights of children in Family Court regarding Custody and Visitation disputes, Juvenile Delinquency proceedings, Children who are in Need Of Supervision proceedings, Child Abuse and Neglect proceedings and Orders of Protection. Ms. Stone's practice includes Divorce litigation, Support litigation and litigation involving Distribution of Marital Property. Joseph Addabbo, Jr. Joseph Addabbo, Jr., is a lifelong resident of Ozone Park, Queens, where he has dedicated a large portion of his life to community service. As a member of the Ozone Tudor Civic Association for over ten years and as its president since 1994, Mr. Addabbo has worked successfully in making sure the residents in the area get their fair share of city, state, and federal government services. As an attorney, Joe Addabbo, Jr. assists many residents and businesses in purchasing or selling properties, and counsels clients on obtaining mortgages. Over the years, Mr. Addabbo has worked on every aspect of the real estate closing process, including representation of institutional lenders. Mr. Addabbo also concentrates his legal practice in the area of wills and estates. Mr. Addabbo is a graduate of the Nativity B.V.M. Hyman J. Greenberg, former resident of Richmond Hill, Queens, is a graduate of St. John's University and St. John's Law School, Class of 1948. Mr. Greenberg has been practicing Criminal Law for over 50 years. As a Criminal Defense Attorney, Mr. Greenberg has significant experience in criminal trials, having participated in hundreds of felony and misdemeanor trials both on the State and Federal level.
