Biography


A graduate of Villanova University and the Fordham University School of Law, James O'Hare was admitted to the New York Bar in 1976. Initially in private practice, in 1978 he joined the Queens County District Attorney’s office, where he first met and worked with fellow ADAs Todd Greenberg and Dominic Addabbo.

He later transferred to the New York City Corporation Counsel’s office representing the City in all aspects of municipal liability defense in tort and medical malpractice litigation.

Since entering private practice in 1984 Mr. O’Hare’s extensive career has encompassed litigation and advocacy in civil litigation, including personal injury for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has appeared in all venues in the New York Metropolitan area. He handles all aspects of personal injury and general litigation from investigation, intake, pleadings, through discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, trials and appeals.

Mr. O’Hare has been associated with Addabbo & Greenberg Law since 2011, handling all aspects of general practice, plaintiff’s litigation, research, advocacy, mediation, trial preparation, civil and criminal representation, and appearances. Client contact, which is always a top priority at Addabbo & Greenberg Law, is one of Mr. O’Hare’s favorite responsibilities.

A lifetime resident of Queens County, Mr. O’Hare is a member of the New York and Federal Bars and is a U.S. Amy Veteran.
